As you said, this 06 rose was one of the first two wines I made - I was a bit of a 'deer in the headlights' in 06 when I started making my own wines . .. but I had a sense of what I wanted to accomplish with this wine. I wanted it to be somewhat acid driven, making it food friendly, and I intentionally blended mourvedre in with grenache to try to tone down the 'fruity' component of the wine and give an uptick to the earthy/'funky' component . . .
