Exhuberant and elegant Chateauneuf-du-Pape. Dark ruby color. Gentle nose with clear fruit (dark cherry, blackberry, even raspberry) and leathery/smoky and cedar aromas. Explodes with layers of flavor in the mouth. Fresh cherries, plum, and sweet raspberries lead to an exquisite earthy finish with woody mushroom and dark oak flavors. Hints of light smoke and tobacco on the finish. Perfectly balanced tannins. Smooth and round feel in the mouth. A real treat to drink and a great bargain for a CDR.
